Emergencies
Its always difficult to react to an emergency.  With a plan in place you will be better equipped to handle anything that comes your way.

  • First and foremost... stay calm!  From a flat tire to a medical emergency the key is being prepared.
  • Pack a kit for your pet including food and water and any medications they may need.
  • If evacuation is necessary always make sure to take your pet with you.  If evacuation with your pet is not possible do not tie them up.  Tying up your pet during severe weather could prove deadly.
  • If you know severe weather is coming do not wait until the last minute to react.  Be proactive when caring for your pet and yourself, always prepare for the worst.
  • Give a family member or close friend your itinerary and let them know your pets are with you.
  • Make sure to pack all required medications "you" need.  Do not put your pet in a situation where you cannot care for them or yourself.
  • If  you can't take your pet with you or you want to go out on the town at  without your pet, look up a pet sitter here.
